We
are located on the mountainside above the historic mining
town of Crested Butte. We are one of the best Rocky Mountain
wedding sites in Colorado! Pristine mountains and wilderness
provide the backdrop for the Victorian architecture of
this lovely mountain town. Crested Butte offers unique
shopping, dining and the old west charm of a National
Historic District. In the summer the valleys are bursting
with blooms, which is why Crested Butte is the Wildflower
Capital of Colorado and a favorite for outdoor brides.
Many scenic locations are available for an outdoor ceremony.

Crested Butte Retreat is unsurpassed!
The Retreat is ideal for weddings up to 100 people. Parties
up to 50 people can arrange for a sit-down meal and larger
groups can enjoy hors d'oeuvres in a relaxed setting.
You can choose to have the ceremony on our outside deck
(± 550 sq. ft) with Whetstone mountain in the background,
and then move inside for dining and dancing.
 Or
for an indoor ceremony, we offer you Rocky Mountain Style
with an eclectic international flair. These spaces
offer you more than 3,000 square feet of entertaining
and ceremony space.

If
your wedding has outgrown our facility, there are many
other venues in our area for your ceremony while the wedding
party may continue to be pampered at The Retreat. Our
ten guest rooms offer
mountain elegance and our spa,
gym, saunas and hot tubs offer all the pampering you'll
need. We offer the services of an aesthetician at the
Retreat, or if you prefer, Crested Butte has several salons
to create the exact look you are hoping for.
 Many
weddings also take place in the Crested Butte countryside.
There you will find fields of wildflowers, snow capped
peaks, and plenty of Colorado sunshine. Crested Butte
is the official Wildflower Capital of Colorado. If you
are married in historic downtown Crested Butte, you may
want to employ the services of our local horse and buggy
driver. A romantic send-off in a horse drawn carriage
is a fabulous experience and provides a great photo opportunity.
Activities in the Crested Butte area allow the wedding
party and guests many activities from which to choose.
For a guys' golf outing, the country club hosts an 18-hole
Robert Trent Jones II golf course. For the sports enthusiast,
we have some of Colorado's finest single track mountain
biking to get your adrenaline pumping. For the "pamper
me" enthusiast, The Retreat's spa services will rejuvenate
and prepare you for the special day.

We
have several area churches for more traditional wedding
options. These churches range from historic to modern
and are Catholic, Episcopal, Baptist, and Union Congregationalist.
Getting
here is easy. We are centrally located less than
4 hours by car from Denver, Colorado Springs, and Grand
Junction and our local airport in Gunnison has an excellent
flight schedule to accommodate your needs.
