December 2009
5 Light up night - Come see the Christmas glow start with a parade followed by the official town lighting ceremony.
18 - 21 Rock and Ice - Champion ice carvers create works of art in minutes with rock and roll music as a backdrop. Come see the ice sculpture garden.
24 Torchlight parade - At dusk the staff from the resort ski in formation from the top of Silverqueen to the base. *This has not yet been officially announced by the resort although it is a yearly tradition.
31 New Years Eve. A torchlight parade gets things started with Fireworks to ring in the new year! * This has not been officially announced by the resort although it is a yearly tradition.
January 2010
17 8th Annual Mt. Crested Butte Wedding Show - Many local area vendors and lodges present their options for a Crested Butte Wedding. Look for The Crested Butte Retreat at this show.
February 2010
14 - 17 Mardi Gras - Crested Butte - Beads, a masquerade ball, and a parade on Fat Tuesday! Plus mountain activities and celebrations all four days.* Dates have not yet been officially announced.
17 - 21 19th Annual U.S. Extreme Freeskiing Championships. Held each year in Crested Butte this is truly a spectacular event. Witness some of the best extreme skiiers going for it all.
March 2010
18 - 20 14th Annual U.S. Telemark Extreme Championship. The nations top extreme telemarkers gather here to decide it all.
26 - 27 Elk Mountains Grand Traverse. A rugged cross country ski race starting at Midnight in Crested Butte, Colorado and ending in Aspen, Colorado.
27 6th Annual Slush/Huck competition. A park and pipe event followed by a traditional Colorado pond skimming competition. * This has not yet been officially announced by the resort although it is a yearly tradition
April 2010
3: Closing Day at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. A fun day for everyone with a costume contest and other fun activities.
June 2010
24-28: Fat Tire Bike Week Festival. A tribute to Crested Butte as the birthplace of mountain biking. The infamous chainless race, and many other exciting activities going on all week. At the same time the bicycle tour of Colorado will be taking place. *Dates have not yet been officially announced
July 2010
4: Independence Day Crested Butte. A parade followed by a water fight in which the fire trucks get involved? It is true and that is just starting things off. Food court, live music, and a fireworks display shortly after dark. *Official town plans not announced as of yet.
6-12: Crested Butte Wildflower Festival. Hikes, 4x4 tours, photography classes, and much more. You won't believe the sheer abundance of many types of wildflowers.*Official dates not yet announced.
11-18: Cattlemans Day's - Rodeo. Rodeo and activities going on all week in Gunnison at the fairgrounds.*Official dates not yet announced.
23-26: Crested Butte Land Trust - Wine and Food Festival. The festival was great last year with a fantastic assorment of food and wines from Colorado and well beyond. *Official dates not yet announced
