A Few Notes,
Please Read:
- We request a 4-night minimum stay.
- A cleaning fee of $500 is required for rental of 9 or less rooms and a fee of $750 is required for 10 rooms.
- We require a 50% initial deposit at time of booking and the balance paid in full 30 days prior to your arrival. Reservations made within 30 days require full payment at time of booking.
- Our cancellation policy is as follows:

If you choose to cancel your reservation more than 90 days prior to its scheduled date, you will be charged a $2000 cancellation fee as well as charged for any other expenses already incurred by the Retreat on behalf of your scheduled rental.
- Cancellations made less than 90 days in advance will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee (not less than $2000), applicable to any lodging and facilities fees. The balance of your Security Deposit will be refunded.

We are not liable for weather, acts of god, or travel delays.
- Due to our mountain location and the fact that you are counting on a great vacation we highly recommend travel insurance. Two companies that we recommend are Travelex and TravelGuard. Please note that many travel insurance policies require purchase within a short amount of time from your initial deposit.
- We are sorry, but pets are not allowed. Evidence of pets in the Retreat will result in a $500 additional cleaning charge.
- All rentals require a $1500 refundable security deposit which will be charged to your credit card on your day of arrival.
- The security deposit is refundable within 10 days of your departure after the property has been cleaned and inspected.
- Missing and broken items, including dishes, will incur replacement or repair costs. Please note that plastic dishes are provided for use by children.
- Stains on carpet, linens, and upholstery will incur additional cleaning or replacement costs.
- Evidence of tampering with locked doors and entering locked rooms or the crawl spaces will result in the loss of your entire security deposit.
- Most rooms are designed for two people only.
- Only Treasury and The Butte have sofa beds to sleep additional guests.
- Please be aware that The Retreat is only accessible by two flights of outdoor stairs and may be challenging for the elderly or those in a weakened physical condition.
- Check-in time is from 3:00 p.m., and Check-out is at 11am. Unfortunately with our cleaners schedule it is hard to accommodate early check ins or late check outs.
- 6 outdoor parking spots are provided for your rental. Additional vehicles will need to be parked in the base area parking lot as there is no parking allowed on town streets and your vehicle will be ticketed and towed.
- The Retreat is a non-smoking environment. However, an outside designated area is provided for those who wish to smoke. Evidence of smoking inside the Retreat, or on a deck with the door open to a room, will incur a $250 fee.
- Only guests staying at the Retreat are allowed on the premises. If you would like to invite additional guests to The Retreat, you must obtain permission from the owners. Parties or events at the Retreat require the payment of an event fee.
- Housekeeping:
- Stays of more than 4 nights will have 1 housekeeping changeover provided and stays of more than 8 nights will have 2. This is not optional. Dirty linens will be replaced and bedrooms will be refreshed. Common areas will be inspected for damage and stains, but will not be cleaned.
- All groups also have the option of requesting daily housekeeping, please ask us about pricing
- A washer and dryer are available for your use if you need clean sheets or towels.
- Additional toilet paper and tissue are provided in the laundry room, but you are responsible for purchasing additional product if you run out of what is provided.
- All dirty dishes should be rinsed and loaded into the dishwashers and ready to be put away by our cleaning crew upon check-out.
- Excessively dirty water in a hot tub will incur a $75 charge to drain and clean the hot tub.
- Showering before use and not spilling food/drink into the tubs will help keep them clean for your use.
- We allocate 16 hours of housekeeping after each group which is included in your cleaning fee. Excessive cleaning will incur a charge of $30/hr for every hour over 16. Normal use of the Retreat by a group will have no problem staying under 16 hours. Supervising children and making sure that they understand the rules of the house will help a lot in preventing additional costs. Please relax and make yourself at home, but please respect our second home!
